Paint Protection Film Prep & Care
Film locks in whatever is underneath it. Get that right first.
Paint protection film is clear and permanent-feeling, which means every swirl, every speck of bonded contamination, and every scratch under it is sealed in and magnified for as long as the film stays on. Correcting paint after installation means removing the film, so the prep work has to be right the first time: full decontamination, iron removal, clay bar, and a complete paint correction, followed by a solvent panel wipe leaving a chemically bare surface for the adhesive to bond to. We do that prep work for vehicles heading to an installer. We also handle ongoing PPF care, which has its own rules. Film edges need attention during washing, and a ceramic coating applied over PPF makes the film dramatically easier to keep clean while adding UV protection that slows yellowing. If you are weighing film against a ceramic coating, book a consultation and we will give you a straight comparison for how you actually use your vehicle.
Our PPF Prep & Care Services
Stage I: Pre-Installation Correction
Full decontamination and paint correction, because any defect left behind gets sealed under the film for its entire lifespan.
Stage II: Bonding Surface Prep
A solvent panel wipe leaves chemically bare paint so the film adhesive bonds properly and the edges do not lift early.
Stage III: Ongoing Film Care
Edge-safe washing and optional ceramic coating over the film to ease cleaning and slow UV yellowing.
