Paint Correction in Kingston, Ontario

Your paint is probably in better shape than it looks.

Most dull, hazy paint is not worn out. It is covered in thousands of microscopic scratches that scatter light instead of reflecting it. Those come from automatic car washes, dirty wash mitts, and years of Ontario road grit. Paint correction removes them by machine-polishing a controlled amount of clear coat until the surface is level and optically clear again. We offer it in three levels: a 1-step polish that removes most light swirls and restores gloss (included in our Premium Exterior and Bronze ceramic packages), a 2-step correction for deeper defects (+$195), and a 3-step correction for heavily neglected or oxidized paint (+$295). Correction works on any vehicle: a five-year-old sedan that has only ever seen tunnel washes often shows the most dramatic change. It is also the mandatory first step before any ceramic coating, because a coating locks in whatever is underneath it.

How Paint Correction Works

Stage I: Decontamination

Iron remover and clay bar pull bonded brake dust, rail dust, and road tar out of the paint so the polisher is not dragging contamination across the finish.

Stage II: Test Panel & Machine Polishing

We polish a test section first to find the least aggressive combination that clears the defects, then work panel by panel under inspection lighting.

Stage III: Panel Wipe & Inspection

A solvent wipe removes polishing oils so we can confirm the defects are actually gone rather than temporarily filled, then the finish is checked under multiple light sources.
